The "switch every car to an EV" timeline is a fantasy that collides with physics. I forecast that converting the world's 1.64 billion cars to electric takes roughly 28 years to even produce them, gated by cobalt, lithium, and the Congo supply chain, and by the same reactor buildout the grid needs. This is a load-balancing reality check against Big Tech and government hype. You cannot switch 1.7 billion cars and power tens of billions of humanoids and run all the AI data centers on a grid that is already straining, and pretend the materials and the reactors appear overnight. The transition is real and it is coming. But it runs on a 28-year clock, not a political press release.
