Crypto was the worst industry I have seen in 25 years. Bentleys, bling, pyramid games.
The scammers: Sam Bankman-Fried, $8 billion of customer money, prison. Binance, guilty. NFTs, selling jpegs to kids. Even Elon Musk called Dogecoin a hustle on live TV and $30 billion vanished in 1 night.
The pirates: BlackRock wrapped Bitcoin in an ETF and sold the casino to pensioners. The US, China, and the ECB took turns killing it. People lost their savings. Some lost their lives.
I said it on stage in 2008: the greedy masses will go for crypto, the smart ones pick Bitcoin, the smartest back blockchain itself. Most chose greed.
I saw it from the inside. NFT.NYC, 16,000 tickets at $1,000, refused to pay its speakers. Me included.
Full disclosure: in March 2011 I put €776 into Bitcoin. It made me $100 million, 14 years and 4 months later (July 2025). I was early. Most of you were sold the dream in 2021, at the top.
I want you free and wealthy. So here is the alternative: solid, physical, real. My 10 raw materials for 2030: copper, uranium, lithium, graphite, rare earths, silver, nickel, gold, titanium, water.
Every missile, chip, data center, humanoid, rocket, power grid, solar panel, and electric car is a raw material bill dressed up as technology.
Where the money moves: Freeport-McMoRan on copper, Cameco on nuclear fuel, Albemarle on lithium, MP Materials and Lynas on rare earths, KoBold Metals hunting deposits with AI.
Predictions are not always reality. Cobalt is off my list, engineered out of batteries before 2030. But you cannot short a copper mine to zero with a tweet.
