Igor's call, in full
I forecast the global fast-food market grows into a $1.2 trillion empire by 2030, at a 4.9 percent compound growth rate, driven by AI and automation, delivery logistics, and the explosive rise of Asian brands. The leaderboard shifts hard. McDonald's grows from $223.5 billion in 2024 to $280 billion by 2030, Chipotle to $100 billion at 6.9 percent, Yum China to $40 billion, and Mixue, the low-cost scale beast, to $30 billion at 12 percent, the fastest riser. The forces shaping it: smart kitchens and robot cashiers, ghost kitchens and drone delivery, and loyalty-app wars. Think less fryer, more firmware. Fewer golden arches, more golden algorithms. But the profits come with a cost the industry does not put on the menu, which is the next forecast.
