Igor's call, in full
The app store was the last great distribution gatekeeper. I forecast that by 2030, protocol-level distribution, open standards that let agents and services transact directly, controls more commerce than Apple's and Google's app stores ever did. When AI agents transact across open protocols, they route around the 30 percent tax and the walled garden. Distribution moves from the store to the standard. Whoever owns the protocol owns the flow. The gatekeepers who taxed the app economy do not get to tax the agent economy the same way.
