Is the physical store dead by 2030?

No. Passive physical retail is. By 2030 retail stops being a place: the transaction starts in the feed, the search box or the agent, and the store becomes the warehouse and the returns desk. Sellers say omnichannel. The tape says most retailers still run separate inventory, loyalty, online and store systems. By 2030 disconnected retail is not omnichannel. It is dead weight.
